To create…

1 Create a 6″-square card blank from kraft cardstock. Ink the edges of a slightly smaller piece of patterned paper and affix.

2 Cut a piece of patterned paper to measure 5″ square, use a Punch Around The Page punch to create a scalloped edges, ink the edges and attach to the card front.

3 Ink the edges of a 7.5cm-square piece of patterned paper. Punch enough circles from the same paper to create a scalloped edge, ink the edges and attach behind the square, then attach this to the card front.

4 Stamp a sentiment onto kraft cardstock, ink the edges and add to the top of the scallop-edged piece.

5 Stamp the alphabet stamp over some kraft paper, then use the Tim Holtz dies to cut out a variety of flowers and ink the edges.

6 Spray each flower with water, screw each one up from the middle then carefully unfold.

7 Once they have thoroughly dried, start layering them up and secure each layer using a hot glue gun, adding a button tied with thread or a pearl to create the centres.

8 Use the Joy Krafts die to cut the smallest flowers, ink the edges then gently curl each petal over. Layer them up and secure using a brad.

9 Attach the flowers to the card front as shown, adding a loop of string under the largest one.

To create…

1 Create a 5.5”-square card blank from white cardstock and colour the front using Spun Sugar ink.

2 Ink the edges of the card front using a Victorian Velvet inkpad, spritz lightly using Interference Red Perfect Pearls Mist and allow to dry.

3 Colour a frame with Victorian Velvet ink and dry using a heat gun. Stamp a flourish image onto the frame using Victorian Velvet ink and dry using a heat gun.

4 Press the frame into an embossing inkpad then cover with UTEE. Heat using a heat gun, sprinkle again while still hot with granules, heat, then repeat a third time – this will give a nice smooth tile effect finish. Place to one side.

5 Randomly stamp the same flourish image onto the card front using Victorian Velvet ink and leave to dry.

6 Colour a small square of cardstock using Spun Sugar ink, then trim so that it fits inside the frame. Spritz lightly with Interference Red Perfect Pearls Mist, allow to dry then stamp a sentiment in the centre using Victorian Velvet ink.

7 Affix the sentiment panel to the back of the frame, add ribbons as shown, then secure to the card front using foam pads.

8 Using Spun Sugar ink, colour the veins and edges of two paper flowers, then add a little Victorian Velvet ink, building up the colour gradually. Spritz with a little Interference Red Perfect Pearls Mist.

9 Allow to dry, then layer the flowers, secure a brad through the centre and attach to the frame.

10 Highlight the flourishes and the edges of the petals to finish.
