Materials…
- Doodlebug Design Lovely Lime co-ordinates kit
- Pink Petticoat Hoppy Wishes Him stamp images zip-kit
- Bazzill Doodlebug cardstock
- White inkjet shrink plastic
- Orange pen
- Heat gun
- Serif PagePlus software
To create…
1 Create a new PagePlus document and open the Pink Petticoat 1a file. Crop the images to the football frog.
2 Create a 14.8×10.5cm rectangle as your card blank template and position at the bottom of your page. Resize your frog image to fit inside the rectangle on the left-hand side and apply ‘Fill’ green to the image.
3 Copy and paste the frog image onto a new page and crop again so that you have just the football. Increase the size of the football by 2.3 times then print onto your inkjet shrink plastic.
4 Cut out and shrink your football using a heat gun and press under a wooden block whilst still hot, to flatten.
5 Return to the frog page from Step 2 and create a circle the same size as your shrink plastic football. This should fit just inside the football on the frog image – resize the frog image if necessary then delete the circle and the rectangle template and print the image onto orange card.
6 Lightly mark a score line across your frog image just under his front legs. Cut around the upper part of the frog above your marked score line (don’t cut the area between the frog and the football at this point), then score the line either side of your cut and fold so that the frog pops up above the crease.
7 Print your frog image again onto patterned papers, cut out the different layers and attach to your card using foam pads. Cut away the background between the frog and the football, then attach the shrink plastic football and spell your greeting using the kit’s letter stickers.
