In issue 21 of Creative Cardmaking, available from 22nd October you can find lots of inspirational projects for Christmas, including the delightful tea-bag folded creation as seen below…
Materials…
- Dovecraft Christmas Fancy 6×6” patterned papers
- Bright pink, light pink and white cardstock
- Pale pink paper
- Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page Aspen Snowflakes punch
- 15cm circle punch
- Peridot 4mm flat-backed crystals
- Gold sentiment peel-offs
- Wild Rose Studios polka dot brads
- 1mm foam tape
To create…
1 Create a 14cm-square card blank from bright pink cardstock, and matt a piece of light pink cardstock onto the front leaving a narrow border.
2 Cut a piece of white cardstock to 12.5cm square and punch around the edges, then affix to the centre of the card front.
3 Trim a piece of patterned paper to 10cm square, and cut out a half circle on each corner using a circle punch. Attach to the centre of the card front.
4 Cut two 6.5cm-square pieces of bright pink cardstock, and affix one to the card as a square and the other as a diamond, as shown.
5 Create a tea bag medallion using eight 4.4cm squares of pink patterned paper and following the square-fold technique.
6 Create another tea bag medallion in the same way using eight 5.3cm squares of light pink paper. Fix this onto the back of the first medallion with a little glue and a brad through the centre of both.
7 Affix the tea bag medallion to the centre of the card, then add gems in each corner and a peel-off greeting below the medallion to finish.
