Materials…

  • Kaisercraft Vagabond patterned paper
  • Bazzill cardstock
  • American Crafts embossing powders
  • Hero Arts Holiday Dolls stamp
  • Sizzix Snowflake die
  • White gel pen
  • Button
  • String
  • Corner-rounder punch
  • Woodware FingerGuard trimmer and straight, twist, scoring & wave blades

To create…

1 Use the straight blade to cut a piece of card to 4.25×11″, then exchange the blade for the scoring blade and score the card fold at 5.5″.

2 Use the straight blade to cut a panel 3″ deep to go across the centre of the card. Stamp the sentiment onto the panel with VersaMark ink and heat-emboss with white embossing powder.

3 Cut a snowflake out of mount board and the same snowflake from patterned paper, adhere together and allow the glue to dry.

4 Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of co-ordinating card and cut out to measure 3×2″. Use the wave blade to cut a small strip of kraft cardstock to place down the left-hand edge. Add faux stitching using a white gel pen, then attach the sentiment block to the card with dimensional adhesive.

5 Attach the snowflake to the bottom-right edge of the sentiment block.

6 Wrap string around the card and thread the ends through a button, finishing it in a bow.

7 Use the twist blade in your trimmer to cut the bottom of the card, then cut a narrow strip of cream cardstock using the same blade and attach to the bottom of the card.

Project by Judith Hannington. Co-ordinating projects available in Creative Cardmaking issue 20.
