Jul 22, 2010 @ 09:32:07
Hi
I’ve also not been able to download the magazine – the pdf didn’t load after left-clicking so I tried right-click “save as” etc but error message came up saying it was unable to save it
Jul 23, 2010 @ 09:12:52
What was the error message that came up Esme? If you could let me know then I can try to help further.
Jul 24, 2010 @ 21:55:33
I think I’ve got the same problem. I click ‘save link as’ and it says the download has failed. I get the following message:
C:\Users\Amy\Downloads\cc16mag.pdf could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

Jul 25, 2010 @ 20:42:34
I’ve tried to download the mag with no success. I get a message telling me the webpage has expired! I’m rubbish with computers but I cannot do the right click thing as ‘save as link’ does not appear in the drop down.
Jul 26, 2010 @ 13:13:29
We had problems over the weekend withour server which might be why some of you have been having problems downloading the magazine. I’ve just tried it again now & it works so you shouldn’t have any problems (hopefully!). If you do though, please let me know.

Hi ladies
Some things to try if you’re having problems with the download:
1) Turn off any download managers (programs like GetRight, GoZilla, Download Manager), as they can interfere. If you’re seeing messages like “cannot connect to site”, this is the most likely cause.
2) Right-click on the download link above and choose “Save Target As”, “Save Link As” or a similarly named option (how it’s worded will depend on which web browser you’re using). Then choose an easily-found location on your hard drive to save the file to – such as Desktop.
3) Once the file has finished downloading – and it might take a while unless you’re on a fast broadband connection, because it’s a 36MB file – simply double-click on the file to view it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
NB if you left-click on the link above, rather than right-clicking and saving the file, then Adobe Acrobat Reader may launch immediately even though only part of the download has been retrieved. This is fine if you just want to view the pages – though obviously you’ll only be able to see pages which have already been transferred. However, if you attempt to Save the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader before it has been completely downloaded, you might get an error message along the lines of “could not be saved, because the source file could not be read”. I suspect this is what you’re describing, Amy.
Hope that helps!

Many thanks for letting us have a copy of issue 16. Mine downloaded great by just clicking on the cover of the mag on this page. I am now going to let my grand-daughters have this copy on their computer to save them cutting mine to pieces. They love cardmaking and can’t get their hands on enough projects. They are going to find plenty in this issue. Thank you once again.

It downloaded fine for me after a few minutes. I just left clicked on it so it must have been the server. Thanks for all the help. I’ll have fun looking through it. I’m off to see what other goodies I can download.

Did everyone get the free papers in this magazine to print them out? I can’t find them in the magazine I downloaded.
Thanks
Aug 02, 2010 @ 10:06:48
Hi Victoria,
Unfortunately the papers that came with issue 16 aren’t available to download as they are from another company. We only provide the papers if they have been designed by ourselves or if we have the permission of the company involved. Sorry about that.
Thanks,
Louisa

I have tried to download the magazine and free papers to no avail. Following the instructions of left and right clicking hasn’t worked either. This is not the first time I have tried to download from here – haven’t managed to get anything yet.

Hi Carol,
Please see my response to Victoria (2 comments above) regarding the papers.
Sorry about this.
Best wishes,
