To create…
Score a piece of Kiwi 12×12″ cardstock into three 4″ sections. With this laid out in front of you so the score lines are horizontal, cut six apertures from the top section.
Leaving a 0.5″ space at the left-hand side of your card and a 0.75″ gap from the top, cut your first three-sided aperture 1″ wide by 2.5″ long. Score horizontally across the top edge of your aperture and across the centre so the loose section folds in half. Create a mountain fold with the centre score line and a valley fold with the top score line.
All the apertures are 1″ wide and there is a gap of 7/8″ in-between each one. The length of the apertures are as follows: 2.5″, 2 3/8″, 1 7/8″, 2 1/8″, 2.5″, 2″. Remember that the apertures are all 0.75″ from the top edge of your card with a gap of 7/8″ between each one.
Measure a 0.5″ border on the left side of your card and trim away the excess.
Cut six tags, two of each colour of metallic cardstock, each measuring 1″ wide by 7.5″ long, and score 0.5″ from the bottom edge horizontally. Create a valley fold with this score line and attach tape to the inside edge. Ink the edges with a black StazOn inkpad. Trim a bit from the bottom of each of the aperture flaps and place each tag down the back of each aperture, then attach the bent flap to the front with the tape. Alternate the colours as shown.
Place double-sided tape all over the aperture section of your card and ensure that all the edges of the aperture are properly covered. Remove the tape except on the aperture flaps. Place a piece of Splendour paper over the double-sided tape and smooth out.
Place the patterned-side down onto a glass mat and, using a craft knife and the aperture edges as your guide, cut the lines for each aperture into the paper. When you have finished remove the tape from the aperture flaps and attach to the paper flaps you have just cut. You should have the aperture section completely covered in Splendour paper with the apertures cut out.
Ink the edges of the apertures. Stick the Splendour Striped paper onto the back of the bottom two sections of your card.
Lay the card in front of you so that the two striped sections are at the top facing up and the aperture section is at the bottom, patterned-side down. Place double-sided tape around the back of the aperture section, making sure you avoid the actual tags but glue in-between them. Fold the card as shown.
You will need the following chipboard shapes; six small squares, three medium daisies, three medium retro flowers, six small daisies, six small retro flowers and 12 small circles. Ink them all up with the green, orange and yellow chalk inks in. You will need two of each colour on the six medium flowers and four of each colour for the remaining shapes. Using the Flourishes Inchies stamps with a black StazOn inkpad, decorate each petal on the medium flowers. Build up each flower as shown and attach to the front of the apertures.
Pull up each tag and stamp at different levels using the Flourish stamps. Take six small pieces of the liquorice ribbon and fold to create a ‘V’ shape, sticking it together. Add a small flower and centre to each tag as shown.
Fix the small inked squares onto the striped paper, which shows under the apertures.
Cut a wavy piece from the remaining striped paper, ink the edges and attach to the bottom edge of the card. Decorate with flowers cut from the remaining Splendour paper.
Doodle some flourishes on the front of the card using a white pen, add peel-off letters as shown and add a journaling card from the cut-out sheet to the inside of your card for your message.
