My beautiful garden canvas

Materials…

  • Canvasses
  • Onefourzero Houses, Beautiful Flowers and Sunflower stamps
  • Acrylic paint
  • Emulsion paint
  • Black StazOn inkpad

To create…

1 Paint the canvasses with a base coat of emulsion. Allow them to dry completely before drawing a guide line of the hill, connecting all three canvasses. Add a wash of blue paint to the sky and a green wash to the hill to accentuate each area.

2 Stamp the images as shown. Stamp stems for some of the tiny flowers and leave the longer stems, as these will be painted later.

3 Paint each image carefully using the acrylic paint and following the colour scheme in the photograph. Water down the acrylic paint so that it is not as thick as it comes out of the tube, but more the consistency of runny cream! Paint the longer stems using a dark green paint.

4 Complete the canvasses by drawing a line with a black ink pen to define the windows and any other outlines that may have been painted over.

5 Don’t forget to sign your artwork!
