To create…

1 Paint the canvasses with a base coat of emulsion. Allow them to dry completely before drawing a guide line of the sea connecting all three canvasses. Stamp the boats and starfish as shown using black StazOn ink.

2 Paint each image carefully using the acrylic paint and following the colour scheme in the photograph. When dry, add a wash of blue paint to the sky and a green wash to the sea to accentuate each area. (A wash is a watered down application of paint.)

3 Stamp the words ‘sail the seas’ at the bottom of each canvas using the blue inkpad. Stamp the fish and rubber ring images to add texture to the sea area using blue ink.

4 Complete the canvasses by drawing a line with a black ink pen to define the waves on top of the sea.
