gold-swirl-bauble

Materials…

  • 7cm-diameter polystyrene ball
  • Pink gingham 1.5cm-wide ribbon
  • Gold foil
  • Provo Craft Cuttlebug machine and D’vine Swirls embossing folder
  • Whale of a Punch large flower punch
  • Hot glue gun

To create…

1 Cut four strips of gingham ribbon to measure 14cm each and glue them around the polystyrene ball, taking a 0.25 turn each time, and gluing at intervals to hold the ribbon in place.

2 Cut eight strips of gold foil, each measuring 1.5cm-wide, and pass them through the embossing folder. Glue the foil strips to the ball to sit between the ribbon pieces, so that the ribbon is showing through the gaps. Glue into place.

3 Punch a large flower from a piece of foil and one from white cardstock, glue them together and attach to the bottom of the bauble.

4 Make a loop of ribbon for hanging the bauble and glue to the top.

5 Tie a bow with ribbon and attach it to the bauble as shown.
