To create…
1 Tear your vintage-effect patterned paper matt to measure slightly larger than your photo, and ink the edges.
2 Mark the position of your photo, then machine-stitch just outside the line.
3 Stamp the flourish as shown, then adhere the bottom layer of trim.
4 Adhere the photo to the matt, then the matt to the spotted paper.
5 Affix the remaining trims and the crocheted flower.
6 Add the rub on title above the matt. Stitch on the string of pearls, forming them into a curve as you stitch.
Top tips…
To use a group photo, convert your photo to black and white if there are disparate colours in it
To fix a string of pearls to a layout, sew on using invisible thread. Take the needle up and down through the same hole
