It depends how you are doing your title – with letter stickers or stamping. If you're using letter stickers, you could try sticking your title letters on to a spare piece of sticker backing paper (you know, that slippery stuff they can be peeled off from) to get the spacing just as you want it. Then place it just above where you're sticking your title and remove and stick each letter in turn. (hope that makes sense!)

If you're stamping, how about stamping each letter onto paper or cardstock and cut each one out to make 'tiles'. Then it's easy to arrange them so they are spaced evenly and stick each one down in turn.
