I'd love to see all your scrapbooking layouts so that we get to share our different styles with each other.

I'm going to start you off with a project that I did in issue 42 of Scrapbook Magazine that is out to buy now in the shops. It's a mini book on friendship that has a really tactile cover – felt, buttons, papers, stitching, chipboard, gems & ribbons! I love it when projects have that 'stroke-ability' factor to them and am pleased with how it came out.

You can find out more about the Scrapbook Magazine by clicking here.

Issue 47 of Scrapbook Magazine is now out in the shops so I thought I'd share a layout that was done using the free Heritage papers from American Crafts.

Here's another layout from the current issue of Scrapbook Magazine – it's from a feature about incorporating flowers into your designs. I love shaped layouts :)

This is the latest layout that I've done. Unfortunately the image is not great as I have had to resize it down a lot and you cannot read or

even see the journalling. Will have to keep practising that for future!

Hi Mel

I like your page.  It's nice to scrap pictures of things in your life other than the people.  I've just finished a page on the lovely gingerbread house my daughter bought for me at Christmas.   Is this a digital layout?

Hi Sue

No it's not digital, I have never tried it- apart from the fact that I am pretty useless with computers, I just love being able to touch papers and get messy with inks, paint and glue !!! Loads of people have told me how easy it is give digital a go, and I do love the effects of digital, I'm not sure its for me !

Hi Mel

I know what you mean.  I've fancied trying it but somehow can't bring myself to give it a go.  May I look for some free digital software sites and try it.  I don't think I could ever give up my hoard of papers and ribbons though.

Your right sue, there is something about having real papers to stroke and look at for months before being  ruthless and cutting them up!

OK.  I don't know what happened but the picture above should be of my gingerbread house layout.  I can't find it on my system but I know I posted it on my blog.  Anway here's a layout I've just completed about my cat called 'My Name Is Smudge'.  I have let the individual squares tell the story, rather than add extra journaling.

I found the picture of the Gingerbread House Layout but unfortunately I couldn't resize this as well as the layout above.  I don't know why but everytime I changed the size and clicked save, it didn't save it as the same size. Ah well, that's technology for you, or maybe that's me.  Anyway here's the piccie.Sue

These are lovely pages Sue, I particularly like the cat one – a great idea. You're not the only one not being able to resize the photo's – I find cards I am fine with, but by the time I've resize the scrap layouts they are such poor quality you can't see them. Although I am determined to crack it and keep trying !

This is my latest layout, of my very old cat who we lost last year. Love this photo of her. Seems like cats are the theme at the moment!

And I've managed to resize this one easier … yippee.

Hi Mel

I love your layout and your cat looks beautiful.  They become so much a part of the family it must have been a great loss to you.  Smudge is 15 this year and has been a house cat for the last 8 years.  Hopefully being indoors she will live a good while yet.  She still runs up and down the stairs being chased by imaginary objects and in the evening enjoys watching the television if there is something moving quickly across the screen.  She's great company as Keith works away a lot and Louise is at Uni.  The only problem is I have to share my tuna fish to get any peace!

It was a loss Sue – an unwanted cat I took in had a litter of kittens a couple of weeks laterand Tubs was one that I kept. She was 19 when

she died so I'd had her such a long time. We are now coping with 2 kittens (although 6 months old now) you can imagine what thats like!

They are brilliant company though. It was horrible without Tubs – hence the kittens a few months later!
