I am new to this (I think I have just posted a reply to something that hadn't been asked!!). Grateful for any tips about using forums …. what are tags?

In the meantime, any suggestions how to use tiny 6mm crystal butterflies that are drilled top to bottom? Eye pins and head pins just look wrong.

Hi Susie and welcome to the site. Sorry I can't help as I've only just started jewellery making. Hopefully someone can help you.

On the subject of 'tags' have no idea either !!!!!! I just fumble my way through.

Hi Susie and welcome.

The only tips I have for using forums is to just come on and chat, we all make mistakes even if we have been doing it for years. Join in with anything you fancy. You soon pick things up.

Sorry can't help with the butterflies I am not a jewelry maker, but I am sure someone can help you out, look out for "beadangel" on here she will probably know.

At the top of the page there is "find friends" click on that then type her name in the space provided and from there you can PM her.

Thanks, will look out for beadangel and thanks Mel, glad I'm not the only one fumbling! I wouldn't mind but I use computers all day every day but blogs, facebook, twitter and forums baffle me totally!!

Susie don't let "tags" worry you, they are just things that are put in if you go to search. Say for instance you were talking about a jumper you would tag it ie "wool,knitwear,pullover", whatever you might think people would enter in a search to find it, so it really doesn't apply here. Stick it in the back of your mind and don't worry over it.

That's why I love this forum Suzie, it's fairly quiet and everyone is really friendly so I'm not fazed by it – unlike some of the others. Have never really got to grips with facebook and as for twitter and blogs – haven't got a scooby!!!!
