Do you remember me putting a post on about the stray matted cat we were trying to help well in case you don't here's a reminder

well after along battle with cats protection today was demat dat we took him to the vets and left them to it only to get a call say there was something seriously wrong it was one of two things he had had a bout of diarrheoa last nigh which we told the vet about but they were happt to carry on anyway he had done some more and the nurse noticed there blood and puss in it so it was either feline HIV which it was the case they would put him to sleep as it's not treatable and as we already have a cat it's not fair to put her at risk too or it was a very bad infestation of worms well blood test done and he tested neg for HIV so whoop whoop there but he has a very bad case of worms now if cats protection would have helped us earlier maybe it could have been caught sooner while it was not so bad as it is but they are now paying for his treatment.anyway the dematting took place and the lovely nurse even bathed him and look at him now

andfinally in his top he is some very strong antibiotics and has to go back on friday and then in 2 weeks time just to check him for the time being he can only eat boiled chicken or tuna and fish  before we can put him back on normal cat food  I just hope he will go back to cat food after all that lol

Lets hope that Cat Protection are very disgusted with thereselves. Perhaps now the poor thing can settle into a proper family home and start to have a life.

Good for you Jackie.

Oh bless. What is wrong with some charities???? Is that not what the cats protection are there for. I often wonder what those who donate to such causes would think if they heard of these cases. And as you have said they are now having to pay for the treatment which is probably costing more than it would have done. Are you planning to keep him Jacki – he looks such a sweetie.

Oh yes he is here to stay now I think he would have stayed anyway after all it was him that came to us we didn't find him he just turned up outside our house and Phil saw him looking very sorry for himself and very thin so we fed him and he has been here ever since lol. I't amazing how he has changed since having his fur shaved his personality is now coming out and he is a cheely little blitter very greedy and very nosey and very playful,He is getting on really well with jasper(our dog) who keeps trying to give him big wet slobbery kisses but Scruff don't like em haha but it's Charley (our cat) that is being stubborn she's 16 and very set in her ways and keeps hissing at him but she has had plenty of chances to attack him but hasn't so that's a good sign I guess. He was officially Christened last night lol with a dusting of glitter so I guess that def makes him one of us now. just got to get his tummy settled now so he can start eating normal cat food

He is settling in fine not getting on with Charley though yet (but she's a stubborn old lady) but gets on great with Jasper and is really making himself at home. He gets a bit over whelmed at times with to much attention and goes on the defensive mode I really don't think this little boy has had any love before at all. hopefully he will get used to we are trying to play with him aswell like we do with Charley we torment her like tickle her feet and things and she hates it but she knows we are only playing so when she attacks she holds back where as he goes full in  for the kill so to speak but I know it will take time his personality it shining through now and is such a cheeky thing and so nosey  but he is here to stay now (unless he decides otherwise)
