Hi Gill

Sounds good to me will start putting my bag together.  As for ribbons and buttons I don't mind paper, fabric, chipboard, real – anything goes.

Hi Jacki

My ribbon is a tangled mess inside a zip up plastic bag.  I keep meaning to buy or make one of those ribbon bags that have holes all over the sides so you can pull a bit of ribbon out and cut it that way.  Don't know if they stop it tangling up though.  Anyone got one?

Sue it might be me, but mine still tangles inside the box, you go to pull it through and sudden stop, it's all knotted inside, so I now wind mine round bits of off cut card held with masking tape, and keep them all in a plastic box.

Hi Jacki. Recieved a lovely selection of ribbons. Thankyou. I'll get your in the post Saturday.

At our local crop I won the Christmas Bingo and in the goody bag was a ribbon storage thing. – A large metal ring with what's called bobbins on it. Basically they are peices of card with 2 slots in them which you thread the ribbon through and then leave dangling – the bobbins are attached to the ring by a punched hole, and it hangs from a hook. It is brilliant and since having it my ribbons have been nice a tidy – the only thing in my craft room that is tho'

Hi Ladies

Sounds like the hanging idea that Bren and Mel use is the best option.  My problem is finding somewhere away from the cat but that is still within easy reach of my crafting cubby hole.  What I need is a cunning plan and some screws, a bit of wood, a couple of hooks and oh the electric drill.  Off to demolish a wall I think.

My hubby would have a fit if I went anywhere near the house with wood and screws Sue. Goes back to when I was single and had my own flat – I'd put up loads of shelves but as I didn't have a drill and it was too had to screw the screws in I decided to hammer them in. Worked perfectly and a shelf never fell down. However when Tony came along and we wanted to move the shelves it was another matter – we couldn't get them down !!

OK girls, hows this, a heeled shoe and nail, this is my daughters method and so far nothng has fallen down but you sometimes get a mark where the shoe hits the wall and not the nail.

So glad your ribbons arrived Mel.I keep my ribbon in a large sweet jar you know the ones in the shops with the bonbons in and you buy them by the 1/4 I did roll them up and tie them so at least they would stay seperated but then it's such a pain to keep untying them I gave up lol
