I had today a card from P.O. saying a letter has arrived with not enough postage on, can I go pay £1.12 to pick it up. I don't mind if it's from here but I have in the past been caught by firms on this.

So I am asking if anyone on here has sent a letter to me, if not I will just ignore it.

Only thing I am expecting is ATC's as it's not my birthday Laughing

To be… or not to be… that is the question !!

Its so unfair when the Post office charge this amount to the person receiving the letter.  Is it possible to nip along to the PO and ask to see the envelope.. then you can decide.

I will ask first if no-one comes forward.

It's 12pence short , so I assume it should have been large letter instead of first class. They are charging me £1 handling fee.

Oh and yeah they won't take a PO from the states  because it has to be exact amount. I got sent  a 75 pence return stamp and it cost £1.65 so PO he say "NO". Couldn't even take in as part payment.

I tell you they are on to a good thing this PO.

Course then again I have received cards from people just saying Hi. Or it could be a surprise cheque from a wealthy relative (not).

Bren, I posted mine last Monday. Have you got them? I did get the woman at the village PO to check and she said it was OK but who knows what happens at the sorting office

Not from me either Bren.  Really, really sorry but I didn't get mine in the post when I said I would because they got buried at the bottom of my bag but I am definitely posting off today.

Been and collected the letter, yes Anji it was yours.

Please everyone do not trust your PO, it might seem like thay are doing you a favour by saying it will go through but for the sake of 12p it's not worth the risk. Makes me wonder if they are all in it together to make money for the PO.

I tried it in my plastic measure thingy I bought from Staples for a couple of pounds, and it wouldn't go through. So don't know what that PO of yours measures with Anji. Do let them know whatever it is it's wrong.
